Christopher Klein executive assistant

Chris Klein has served as executive assistant of the Wisconsin Department of Transportation since June 2005. As executive assistant he works closely with the Secretary and the Deputy Secretary to shape the policies that guide the department and oversees legislative and communication activities. Prior to his appointment, he was executive assistant for the state Department of Regulation and Licensing. He served as government relations staff at the firm of former Governor Martin Schreiber for five years and also worked for U.S. Senator Herb Kohl, U.S. Representative Jerry Kleczka and Milwaukee Mayor John Norquist. He received a B.A. in Criminology from Marquette University in 1995.

Chris Klein and his family reside in the Madison area.
