The roadway design pages are for the guidance of design engineers, technicians, and inspection personnel engaged in roadway design, plan preparation, and construction for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT). It is prepared to encourage uniform application of designs and standard details in plan preparation of roadways and other related facilities.

General instructions for WisDOT standard roadway design files

Each of these files is a self-extracting compressed file containing one or more standard roadway design CAiCE data files. The extracted files are intended for use in CAiCE Visual Transportation 10. Visual Transportation 10 is not supported on Windows 95/98/ME. You must be running Windows NT 4, 2000, or XP.

If you are using Netscape as your Web browser, click on a file to start the download process. Then, in File Manager or Explorer, double-click on the downloaded file to start the extraction process. If you are using Internet Explorer as your Web browser, click on a file to start the extraction process directly. The files will extract into the TEMP directory by default. You will have the option of extracting the files into any directory you choose by overtyping the target path.  These files must be located in the correct directories as described below to be used by CAiCE.

These files are intended for use in CAiCE Visual Transportation 10.  Install location values surrounded by % indicate a CAiCE system variable.  Detailed descriptions of executable files can be found in the Readme.txt file within each *.exe file
