Local Roads Improvement Program Web System

First-time user

The Local Roads Improvement Program (LRIP) Web System is an Extranet Web application. The system is a management tool to assist WisDOT LRIP program managers, the program administrator and county highway commissioners in administering LRIP. To access the LRIP Web System, you will need an authorized Wisconsin User ID (also known as a Web Access Management System (WAMS) ID, and Internet connectivity.

Most individuals logging onto the LRIP Web System will already have a Wisconsin User ID (also referred to as a WAMS ID), because it is the same personal ID used to access other state agency Extranet applications, such as WISLR. If you do not already have a WAMS ID, you will need to obtain one to access the LRIP Web System.

Create an ID

To create a Wisconsin User ID, go to https://on.wisconsin.gov/. Click on the Self-Registration link, and then follow the steps for Self-Registration to create your WAMS ID and password. A user can confirm their Wisconsin User ID by going to the "Edit your Profile" link.

Please note that you must activate your account by following the steps in the confirmation email within four (4) days of beginning the registration process, or you will have to start the process over again.

See the Extranet FAQs page on the WisDOT Internet site for additional questions related to system requirements, establishing a WAMS ID or connectivity problems.

Technical Requirements

The LRIP Web System does not have any special or unique technical requirements for access. A computer with a Web browser and an Internet connection should be able to access the LRIP Web System, provided it meets the minimum requirements. You will not need to download any additional software or plug-ins onto your computer.

For more information regarding minimum requirements for connecting to the Web System, please see the Extranet System Requirements page on the WisDOT Internet site.

If you believe your computer meets the minimum requirements, but you still cannot access the site, contact the DOT Computer Help Desk at (608) 266-9434 or (800) 362-3050.

Note: Please make sure to read the LRIP Web System Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) page for additional information.
