The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public information meeting for the upcoming Stewart Avenue reconstruction between South 48th Avenue and Terrace Court in the city of Wausau.
The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at the Wausau City Hall, Council Chambers, 407 Grant Street, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. A brief presentation regarding the proposed improvements will be given at 5:45 p.m.
Project improvements include replacing pavement, curb and gutter, storm sewer, sidewalks, streetlights, signals, and portions of sanitary sewer and water main. Construction is expected to begin in April 2008 and is scheduled for completion in November 2008.
During construction, crews will maintain two-way traffic on two driving lanes. Access to driveways will also be maintained.
