La Crosse area bridge inspections set for June 16 - 19

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will be performing routine bridge inspections in the La Crosse area Monday, June 16 through Thursday, June 19. Motorists should expect possible short delays while traveling on area roadways.

Single-lane closures will occur at the following locations:

• US 14/61 eastbound (Cass Street Bridge) Mississippi River crossing
• US 14/61 westbound (Cameron Street Bridge) Mississippi River crossing
• US 14/61/WIS 35 (Mormon Coulee) on the south side of La Crosse over Burlington Northern/Santa Fe Railroad
• WIS 16 (Monegan Overpass) near Hixon Forest over Burlington Northern/Santa Fe Railroad
• WIS 16 between County B and WIS 157 (inspection of the Medary Overpass) over Canadian Pacific Railroad
• WIS 35 between Onalaska and La Crosse over Burlington Northern/Santa Fe Railroad

The regularly scheduled inspections are performed to check existing conditions and detect any areas that might require attention.

Motorists are urged to stay alert and slow down in the work zones.

In case of inclement weather, the inspections will be delayed.
