Meeting scheduled July 10 to discuss remote bridge operation in Green Bay

REMINDER - Public input sought in study
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Regional Office in Green Bay is announcing a public information meeting to discuss the feasibility of remote operation of three Fox River lift bridges located in the city of Green Bay. The meeting will be held Thursday, July 10, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Green Bay City Hall, Room 203, 100 N. Jefferson Street. A short presentation is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss an ongoing WisDOT study and obtain public input regarding the remote operation of three bridges crossing the Fox River in Green Bay. The three bridges include the Mason Street Bridge, Walnut Street Bridge and the Nitschke Bridge.
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, which is being held in an “open-house” format. Staff will be available to provide information and answer questions. Displays will also be available for viewing.
