Governor Jim Doyle approves WIS 110 improvements in North Central region
August 6, 2008
As part of his “Grow Wisconsin” initiative to invest in Wisconsin’s infrastructure and stimulate
our state’s economy, Governor Jim Doyle recently signed a $549,000 contract to improve
approximately one mile of WIS 110 between WIS 96 and Waupaca County H.
Construction is scheduled to begin in early September 2008.
American Asphalt of Mosinee is the prime contractor for the project. Crews will mill off a
portion of the existing surface and overlay it with new asphalt.
Construction is scheduled for completion by late November 2008.
WIS 110 will be closed to through traffic during construction. Traffic will be detoured via
US 10.
Eighty percent of the project will be paid with federal transportation funds, the remaining 20
percent will be paid with state transportation funds.
