DMV customer service center in Onalaska remodeling to better serve customers
August 11, 2008
Station will remain open during one-week renovation that begins August 12th.
The Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) customer service center in Onalaska, located at 9477 Hwy.
16 East, is remodeling to better serve customers in the area. Updates and upgrades including new
flooring, seating, and an information desk will make customers more comfortable and will help to
improve traffic flow in the building. Redesigned workstations and updated queuing equipment will
enable the center to provide more efficient service.
For the next week, the station will remain open for business, but customers will encounter
some inconvenience, as only half of the available service counters will be available. To avoid
construction noise and dust, customers may wish to postpone their visit until after August 19th
when the remodeling is scheduled to be complete. Many third-party agencies and businesses around
the state also provide title, registration and/or registration renewal services for walk-in
customers. A listing of these providers and their hours is available at
http://www.dot.wisconsin.gov/drivers/vehicles/plates/walkin.htm.
Stickers can also be renewed by mail for the cost of a stamp.
DMV would like to remind customers that many services do not require a visit to a service
center and are available online at:
