Crews plan late night I-39/US 51 closures next week

Freeway closures necessary for removal of old Kowalski Road overpass

Crews plan to close the northbound and southbound lanes of I-39/US 51 - between the Maple Ridge Road interchange (Mosinee) and the Business 51 interchange (Rothschild) - on the following nights:

• 10 p.m. on Tuesday, September 2. The lanes will reopen by 4 a.m., Wednesday, September 3.
• 10 p.m. on Wednesday, September 3. The lanes will reopen by 4 a.m., Thursday, September 4.
• 10 p.m. on Thursday, September 4. The lanes will reopen by 4 a.m., Friday, September 5.

During the closures, traffic will be detoured via Maple Ridge Road and old highway 51.

The closures are necessary for the removal of the old Kowalski Road overpass structure.

The dates and times of the closures are dependent on favorable weather conditions and are subject to change.
