Governor Jim Doyle approves WIS 22 improvements

August 29, 2008

As part of his "Grow Wisconsin" initiative to invest in Wisconsin's infrastructure and stimulate our state's economy, Governor Jim Doyle recently signed a $118,000 contract to improve the bridge on WIS 22 (just north of WIS 54) over the south branch of the Little Wolf River in the town of Royalton, Waupaca County.

Construction is scheduled to begin September 8, 2008.

Lunda Construction Company of Black River Falls is the prime contractor for the project. Crews will place a concrete overlay on the existing bridge deck.

Construction is currently scheduled for completion on October 15, 2008.

WIS 22 will remain open to traffic during construction. Motorists can expect to encounter temporary traffic signals at the Little Wolf River Bridge.

One hundred percent of the project will be paid with state transportation funds.
