Roundabout at WIS 28 and WIS 32 being closed in Sheboygan County

September 23, 2008

Closure will be in effect for 3 days

Green Bay - The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) NE Region office at Green Bay is announcing the roundabout at WIS 28 and WIS 32 in Sheboygan Falls will be closed Monday, September 29 and tentatively scheduled to reopen sometime during the day on Wednesday, September 31. The concrete inner truck apron in the center of the roundabout is being coated with a colored overlay.

The intent of this overlay is to provide better contrast for motorists (especially at night or low light) between the circulating travel lanes and the raised truck apron. This raised area in the center of the roundabout is intended for use by the rear tandem axels of large trucks only.

Detours for WIS 28 and WIS 32 will be signed. Changeable message boards are also being used to advise travelers of the closure.

This work is weather-dependent. Motorists are advised to use caution and remain alert when driving through this or any work zone.
