Public meeting October 1 for project in Maiden Rock

Meeting to focus on retaining wall replacement project
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) in Eau Claire is announcing a public information meeting to discuss a retaining wall replacement project in the Village of Maiden Rock along WIS 35. The meeting is scheduled from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008 at the Maiden Rock Village Hall, at W3535 Hwy 35.
The proposed project consists of replacing three retaining walls along WIS 35 between the southern limits of the village of Maiden Rock and 385th Street. The proposed project will be split into two construction phases. The first will replace the wall on the east side of WIS 35, and the second will replace the wall on the west side of WIS 35. The work for the first phase is currently scheduled for 2009.
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project. Maps showing the proposed improvement alternatives will be on display. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
