US 51 ramps to westbound WIS 29 ramps scheduled to open Monday night

Completion and opening of the new US 51 northbound and southbound ramps to WIS 29 westbound is scheduled for Monday, November 3. Motorists can expect to encounter the following traffic impacts:

• Prior to opening up the new ramps, crews will reduce the ramp connecting WIS 52 with westbound WIS 29 to one lane. This reduction will be permanent. This change is scheduled to occur the morning of Monday, November 3. Motorists are advised to be alert when merging onto the new freeway.
• Crews plan to open the ramps that connect northbound and southbound US 51 with westbound WIS 29 during the evening on Monday, November 3.
• Motorists on northbound and southbound US 51 can expect to encounter lane closures between 7 p.m. on Monday, November 3 and 5 a.m. on Tuesday, November 4 as crews prepare the signing for the ramps.

The work requires favorable weather conditions and is subject to change.

The ramp connecting eastbound WIS 29 with southbound US 51 is currently scheduled to open in mid- to late November.
