Public information meeting Nov. 10 for Hall Avenue (WIS 64) in the city of Marinette

Meeting to focus on preliminary design based upon selected alternatives
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing a public information meeting to discuss the reconstruction of Hall Avenue (WIS 64) in the city of Marinette. The meeting is scheduled from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 10, 2008 at the Marinette City Hall Council Chambers, 1905 Hall Avenue, Marinette.
The proposed project consists of reconstructing Hall Avenue from WIS 180 to Raymond Street. Improvements include the replacement of the deteriorating pavement and reconstructing the Roosevelt Road/WIS 180 intersection to improve safety and traffic operations. Additional improvements include storm sewer and street lighting replacement. Construction is currently scheduled to begin during the spring of 2010 with the cost estimated at $3.8 million.
The city also plans to replace their sanitary sewer and water main facilities during this project.
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input, and ask questions concerning this project. Maps showing the proposed improvement will be on display. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
