Bayview Bridge in Door County closing for three days starting Nov. 18

Repairs will close the bridge during the day

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing the Bayview Bridge (WIS 42/57) that crosses the Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal in Door County will be closed for repairs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Tuesday, Nov. 18 through Thursday, Nov. 20. The bridge will re-open to vehicle traffic during the evening. Boat traffic will be able to continue using the canal during this time, since the bridge will remain in the open position while the work is being done.

Crews will be repairing steel plates on the moveable span.

The Door County Highway Department will be posting a detour route through the city of Sturgeon Bay.
