Alternatives Workshops

Alternatives workshops were held with the technical and advisory committees for both the east and west segments of the study area. Participants developed a full range of potential improvement alternatives.

SAFETEA-LU

Section 6002 of the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users (SAFETEA-LU 6002) requires the lead agency for a project to establish a plan for coordinating public and agency participation during the environmental review process. SAFETEA-LU was implemented in 2005 for all Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) with a Notice of Intent published after August 10, 2005. The Notice of Intent for the US 14/WIS 11 Corridor Study was published after that date, therefore, a coordination plan was developed in accordance with SAFETEA-LU 6002.

Needs Assessment workshop

October 2, 2003 - A local officials Needs Assessment workshop was held. Participants formed groups to identify key issues associated with the US 14/WIS 11 corridor.
