US 151 corridor

US 41 improvements

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is also improving US 41 in connection with the US 151 corridor improvements.

The following US 41 projects are scheduled:

  • US 41 will be resurfaced from north of US 151 to north of County OO at the same time WIS 23 is reconstructed between Pioneer Road and Rolling Meadows Drive. Construction started in April 2008. Completion of the WIS 23 interchange and US 41 work is expected in November 2008.
  • The County OO structure over US 41 will be re-decked in early 2009.
  • US 41 will be reconstructed between Main Street and Military Avenue and the Hickory Street/US 41 interchange will be reconstructed.
  • The railroad bridges, both north and south of Hickory Street, over US 41 will be reconstructed at the same time. US 41 will be reduced to a single lane during the week and motorists should anticipate delays. The Hickory Street ramps will be closed for the duration of the project. This construction project began in July 2008. Completion is expected in January 2010.
