The WIS 83 Project involves WIS 83 from I-43 at Mukwonago to WIS 16 at Hartland, in Waukesha County.

Project segments (Purple lines on Google map above)

  • WIS 16 and WIS 83 interchange, from Capital Drive to Campus Drive, reconstruct and expand four lanes
  • I-94 to WIS 16, resurface the existing lanes from Golf Road to north of Cardinal Lane
  • High Meadow Lane to I-94, resurface the existing lanes
  • Perkins Road to Glacier Pass, reconstruct and expand four lanes
  • County NN to WIS 59
    • Reconstruct County NN to County X, four lanes
    • Construct two lanes on ultimate four lane from County X to Walnut/Seville
    • Two lane curb and gutter from Walnut/Seville to Old Village Road
    • Widen shoulders and improve signals from Old Village Road to WIS 59

  • Main detour route - WIS 83/I-43 to WIS 83/WIS 59 (Green line on Google map above)
    • At WIS 83/I-43 intersection head east on I-43
    • Take WIS 164 North to WIS 59
    • At the WIS 164/WIS 59 west intersection, take WIS 59 west to WIS 83
  • Interim detour route (September 2011) - WIS 59/County E to WIS 59/WIS 164 (Yellow line on Google map above)
    • From WIS 59/County E intersection, head north on County E
    • County E becomes County DE east
    • County X south to WIS 59
