Road plans, studies and projects

  • Wisconsin State Highway Plan 2020 - WisDOT, in partnership with its stakeholders, developed the State Highway Plan 2020, a 21-year strategic plan which considers the highway system's current condition, analyzes future uses, assesses financial constraints and outlines strategies to address Wisconsin's preservation, traffic movement, and safety needs.
  • Six-Year Highway Improvement Program - This highway improvement program covers ONLY the 11,773-mile state highway system which is administered and maintained by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT). The other 102,712 miles are improved and maintained by the cities, towns, counties and villages in which they are located.
