State Patrol Academy

The Wisconsin State Patrol Academy provides diverse training for State Patrol personnel, federal and local law enforcement officers, and state employees. The facility is used by other agencies for training programs as well. The Academy is located on 50 acres of the Fort McCoy Military Installation and is accessed from highway 21 between the cities of Sparta and Tomah, Wisconsin.

Enrollment offered to local law enforcement agencies is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please read the requirements for attendance at specialized training programs. Many programs have curriculum designed and developed to serve personnel with specified levels of training and experience.
